Mushroom snatchers

I have just learned that someone browsed our farm for wild mushrooms. Again. Many should be growing, since we've had lots of rain. But my family only found leftovers - the wormy ones tossed away, seemingly only a couple of hours ago. There were also some small ones left which those people must have missed. Or rather left them growing for tomorrow's harvest. Well, surprise. My family showed up and picked them. We don't know who the thieves are, could well be our closest neighbors. They feel free to walk around our property in our absence and pick mushrooms that we should be picking and eating. The farm is not large but it is too large to be fenced so there is nothing there to stop them but their own conscience. Apparently, it doesn't have a problem with crossing the property line and stealing our crop.
