Scenic Boys need your vote!

They have been nominated for the 2009 Best Video Blog Award by the Lonely Planet. I've just voted for them - so far they've received 25 votes (5%), which placed them at number four of five blogs contesting in the best video blog category. The winning blog had 154 votes. I am afraid they might have a bit of a niche audience so it would be realistic to predict they won't win but hey, who knows. Show you support, vote!

An after midnight update: they're up to 12% with 62 votes, still number four, the leading blog has 32% - 169 votes. Voting will close on March 20th, and the final evaluation will be done by judges, with public votes only weighing 50% of a blog's score. I understand they will also be evaluating how useful the contents of each blog would be to a potential traveler, i.e., if good travel tips are present. I really have no idea how the boys compare to other blogs in this respect. My impression is that their blog is more a very personal account of their adventures together, while detailed travel tips pop up here and there rather spontaneously. It's only an impression, however, hopefully the judges will do an actual research. Another thing is that they seem to specialize in camping out in the woods, which I think is essentially boring to many people. I suspect it can attract a relatively smaller audience than, say, travelling well known tourist destinations around the world. Which is what the winning blog seems to be doing. Will the boys' visual and personal charm compensate for that shortcoming? Until an answer is announced, spread the news and get more people to vote!
