Not a rip-off

One of the bloggers I read almost seriously complains that he has been ripped off the idea of portraying himself kissing his own reflection in the mirror. The copycat has gone so far as to put the stolen idea on the cover of a magazine. Come on, dude, I know you are kidding but somehow it doesn't make me laugh. The act had already made it to the covers of ancient Greek magazines, and more recently was featured in, umm, a blue movie way back in spring 2004, allright, and done by a guy I find hotter than yourself. One can be very vain indeed.

I like him but sometimes his self-absorption goes too far for me.

Although I admit that the pics he took of himself are hotter than what found its way to the magazine cover. But then what else would you expect.

Then again, I think sometimes I take things much too seriously. He's probably sharpening his pen before April Fools' day, or he's just celebrated it..

Foie gras

I'm not a vegetarian but I think we should boycott foie gras, folks. Sadly, what do I read. In Montreal, in Paris - they eat it.

Regarding the well being of animals, I'm liberal. I tend to believe that humans are non-vegetarian by nature, and that some people cannot go fully vegetarian without risking their health. (I'm not well informed on the issue at all and I might be wrong here, in fact.) But there is no excuse even I can think of for eating foie gras.

I think if I read yet another hymn to a woman whose name I do not intend to mention on this blog I'm going to cut myself. I mean I've honestly tried to read this guy's blog, he's written a nice book and all but he hardly ever diverts from the woman. WTF??? You're about to hit forty if you haven't yet! He's obsessed by her looks, her wealth, her success. He keeps posting videos and magazine clippings, analyzing what she looks like in this one as opposed to that one, what she's wearing and how everybody should be floored by that. As if that were not enough, he has taken to finding similarities in the looks of other celebrity women to the woman's looks, and making no less than collage clippings where the two ladies are presented side by side indeed resembling each other be it by a hairdo, makeup or a particular pose. Post after post after post after post and then you turn the page and there he goes again. I mean talk about sick. This is a grown man with some life going on. Anyway. I was holding this rant back for a good couple of months because I thought he'd stop. But he didn't. I wouldn't want to blow it out of proportion but hello. Enough!
